Mulled cider, culinary treats, and the secret recipe to the MACtini cocktail…

Saturday 29th November will see Canteen at the MAC embrace all things festive, with their annual Taste of Christmas event.

The fun-filled day kick-starts with Canteen’s famous coffee winter-warming master class which allows guests to enjoy extensive coffee tasting and discover expert brewing methods (10am and 12pm).

Taking over the reins at 1.30pm will be Northern Ireland’s leading nutritionist, Jane McClengahan from Vital Nutrition, with her ‘Festive Eats and Treats’ children’s food workshop. This fully interactive cookery event, will give kids the opportunity to have fun with food as well as learning how to whip up a few delicious, healthy snacks.

The apex of the day comes at 3.00pm with delicious wine tasting by the hugely knowledgeable Ciaran Myler from United Wine Merchants. This informal event allows sampling of this year’s handpicked festive must-have wines, guaranteed not to break the bank.

5.00pm will see the day ramp up at notch, with Canteen’s first interactive cocktail master class, hosted by the in-house expert mixologist who will showcase his award-winning creations and a few of his secret recipes.

7.00pm will welcome two very popular events. Canteen’s Craft Beer & Cider Tasting evening, complete with hot cider to keep the chills at bay and a sample of delicious food bites. And the monthly Jazz Supper, which allows guests to enjoy a two course meal and a glass of wine, enjoying the melodic sounds of Conor Taggart.
