20 October 2026 | Morning update
Revolut customers have reported problems making payments, transferring money and accessing the banking app during disruption on Tuesday morning.
The company acknowledged that multiple features were affected and said engineers were working to restore services. Customers also reported declined card payments in shops and cafés.
More than 1,500 reports of problems
According to the morning updates, more than 1,500 reports had been logged on outage-tracking website Downdetector by 8.09am.
Around 65% concerned the app, approximately 20% related to accessing funds and 8% involved login difficulties. These figures represent reports submitted to Downdetector, rather than a confirmed total of affected customers.
Some users also described problems contacting support through the app, adding to frustration as they tried to establish why transactions were failing.
Reports extended beyond the UK, with customers in France, Spain and Japan among those describing difficulties.
Revolut reassures customers about money and data
In a statement reported at 9.12am, Revolut said customers’ money and data were safe.
The company apologised for the inconvenience and said it had been working to fix the issue since identifying it that morning.
The updates available at 9.25am did not identify a cause or provide a confirmed time for full restoration.
Where to check for updates
Revolut’s UK status page displayed “All systems are operational” when checked for this article, despite the disruption described in morning reports. That message alone does not establish when individual customers regained access.
Customers can visit Revolut’s official service-status page for its latest published information.
This is a developing story. The information above reflects reports from Tuesday morning, and service availability may have changed.
