Irish software platform company, Phorest, is creating a fully remote delivery team in Northern Ireland which will create 25 new jobs over the next three years.
Headquartered in Dublin, Phorest is an all-in-one software platform for premium hair and beauty salons, spas, and aesthetic clinics. It brings together appointment and diary management, online booking, marketing and integrated payments in one connected system. It currently employs 450 people globally.
Meeting with the company at Invest Northern Ireland’s Southern Regional office in Newry, Anne Beggs, Chief Commercial Officer at Invest NI welcomed the announcement: “We are delighted that Phorest has chosen Northern Ireland as the location for its new team. This success reflects the strong partnership built over several years between Phorest and Invest NI, led initially by our team in Dublin who first engaged with the company in 2018 and continued to champion Northern Ireland as an attractive place to invest and grow.
“Phorest’s decision to establish a team here further strengthens our reputation as a leading location for software and digital services. It also enhances the visibility of our growing services cluster and demonstrates the confidence international companies have in the skills, talent and business support available here.”
Anne added: “The 25 new roles will offer high-quality career opportunities. As the positions are fully remote, they will be accessible to talented people right across Northern Ireland, helping to create opportunities across the region.”
Invest NI has offered the company £162,500 of financial support to secure this investment for Northern Ireland over other locations such as Croatia, Portugal, North America and Estonia.
Sylvie McDermott, Chief Operating Officer at Phorest said: “We are excited to establish a team in Northern Ireland as part of our long-term strategy to expand our international delivery capability and support continued growth across our global customer base.
“As demand for the Phorest platform continues to grow, this new team will play an important role in helping us scale in a controlled and sustainable way while maintaining the high standards of service and innovation our customers expect.
“Northern Ireland impressed us with its highly skilled talent pool, strong technology ecosystem and excellent connectivity. The flexibility of our working model will allow us to attract talented people from across the region. We look forward to building our team here and becoming part of Northern Ireland’s thriving technology sector.”
The new roles on offer include software engineers at various levels, including graduates, product managers, customer specialists and test engineers.
