Exclusive money-can’t-buy training sessions to be won

Shield Accident Management (SAM), an accident management company, has enlisted two of GAA’s biggest stars, Conor McKenna and Conor Glass, to help them find sixteen kids, aged between 10 and 14, to win an exclusive training session, hosted by the two men.

SAM ambassador, Conor McKenna, who helped his Tyrone team win the all-Ireland final earlier this year, and Conor Glass, whose team Glen won the Derry senior football championship for the first time in November, will treat the kids to a money-can’t-buy experience, explained Shield Accident Management Director, Monica Hughes.

“What young GAA fan wouldn’t want to meet two of the best players around and have a kick about with them”, said Monica. “It would be a dream come true for them! We plan to give 8 boys and 8 girls a training session they will never forget on March 5th from 10am to 11.30am at the grounds of Conor McKenna’s home club in Eglish, so get nominating now”, said Monica.

It is easy to nominate a child to win one of the coveted spaces, continued Monica: “To ensure your child, or a child you know, has a chance to win, go to our social media pages and comment with their name, age and the county they support, and be sure to tag Shield Accident Management when posting. As well as meeting their sporting heroes the kids will also take home a strip made exclusively for this competition.”

Conor McKenna, SAM ambassador and Tyrone and Eglish GAA player, said: “I’m delighted to be a part of this great initiative and my hope is that we can inspire younger boys and girls, from all backgrounds, to get interested in the game. My love for Gaelic football started from a young age and I eventually went on to win the all-Ireland so maybe one of the kids will follow in my footsteps.”

Conor Glass, Glen and Derry GAA, said: “I can’t wait to meet the sixteen lucky kids on March 5th and take them through their paces on the field. It should be a magical experience for everyone involved so get nominating now.”

Kimberly Robertson, Chairperson, East Belfast GAA, said: “Sport is all about bringing people together, so we’re delighted to help Shield Accident Management launch this fantastic competition to help young GAA fans meet their idols and get some first-hand advice and experience from the best players around.”
