Christmas has come early for art and craft experts and novices throughout Northern Ireland from today as Hobbycraft opens its first store at Newtownabbey’s Longwood Retail Park.
The British store is Northern Ireland’s first and marks Hobbycraft’s 99th store in the UK. A hub of all things arts and crafts alongside party and baking supplies and a huge haberdashery range – there isn’t much missing from this Aladdin’s cave of crafts.
Speaking at the soft opening of the store, customer director Katherine Patterson said ‘Our ambition really is to get as many people in Northern Ireland making and celebrating everything that is handmade. We’ve got some fantastic colleagues from the local area, and we’re to welcome you and take on all of your feedback’
Speaking further about some of the initiatives they’ve introduced to their Northern Ireland store, customers can now enjoy craft demos and participate at their Custom Crafting station which features the latest and greatest machine in crafting – the Cricut. And if you’re not a dab hand and haberdashery but want to give it a go, you can benefit from their Sew Simple progamme which offers free instore and online sewing lessons when you purchase one of their sewing machines.
Officially open as of today, whether you’re trying to keep the kids entertained and engaged on their Halloween half-term break or fancy a bit of festive wreath making, it’s all instore and available now under one roof at Hobbycraft Newtownabbey.
