Following on from the success of our first cookalong ‘Recipe for DIsaster – Cheese Souffle’ the team are back with a brand new recipe and a brand new disaster!
‘Recipe for Disaster – BAKED ALASKA’ promises carnage, culinary delights and cheese (in both the food and music form).
The exact opposite of a quiet night in, you are cordially invited to another extraordinary DIY wedding on ZOOM, catered by top class chef and High Sheriff, Paula McIntyre (MBE). Part show, part cookery class, once the meals are served and the speeches are said everyone can chill out on the dance floor, eighties style. This might be the worst wedding in the world, but the best night in. Theatre, you can eat!
Big Telly’s Artistic Director Zoe Seaton says” we’ve wanted to do this for ages, to try and recreate one of those brilliant nights which starts with everyone cooking together, having a laugh and ends with the chairs pulled back and everyone giving it dixie to Come On Eileen. That’s essentially what we’re after.’
Paula McIntyre says “Delighted to be involved in the Recipe for Disaster with Big Telly. Looking forward to a great night’s craic and seeing everyone’s dishes!”

About Big Telly Theatre
Big Telly was established in 1987 by Zoe Seaton. Since then, the company has grown to be one of Northern Ireland’s longest established and respected theatre companies. The company has a long tradition of touring theatre work and has become an expert in site responsive and participation theatre. With the depth and range of our output, we inevitably are involved in partnerships working with many organisations and our diverse work reaches into areas of tourism, heritage, community safety and mental health. Most recently the company has paved the way for live digital experiences in NI, with five lockdown shows already under their belt. Throughout lockdown the company have been committed to creating joyous, necessary events for audiences in need of that connection. Recipe for Disaster does just that!
