On Saturday 04 March the quest of Victoria Square and the Women’s Institute to find the best Victoria ‘Square’ Sandwich in Northern Ireland came to an end when Jennifer Creelman from Macosquin WI was crowned as the winner.
The live final held in Victoria Square saw six skilled finalists from the WI work against the clock to bake and decorate their own Victoria Sandwich showstopper under the watchful eye of host and expert judge Jenny Bristow. The winning cake was chosen for its light, moist sponge, flavoursome buttercream and jam filling and beautiful Easter bunny Spring decorations, creatively made using dairy milk chocolate as soil and coconut for grass.
