Move over margarita, the paloma is set to be the sundowner of the season.
Last night, Don Julio Tequila set the stage for a summer of celebration as it hosted an exclusive private dining and Paloma masterclass event at The Crafty Vintner on Belfast’s Lisburn Road.
This feast for the senses was celebrating Don Julio Tequila’s Irish tour, bringing the spirit of Mexico to cocktail enthusiasts all over the country this summer.
The launch event transported some of Belfast’s most popular influencers from the worlds of fashion and food to the ‘Tierra de Don Julio’ – an immersive experience bringing the tropics of Jalisco, Mexico – where the tequila hails from – to life. Guests such as Olivia McVeigh and Cathy Martin were treated to an unforgettable experience, immersing themselves in the rich heritage and craftsmanship behind Don Julio Tequila.
Under the expert guidance of Carl D’Alton, previous World Class Ireland winner and Diageo Ireland White Spirits Ambassador, attendees learned the art of concocting the perfect Paloma cocktail – a refreshing blend of Don Julio Blanco, Poacher’s Grapefruit Soda, and lime juice, garnished with a slice of fresh grapefruit. Whilst sipping on these delectable cocktails, guests savoured dishes including crispy beef and pulled pork tacos, and enjoyed a setlist from Latino-Americano DJ Pablo Santos.
Don Julio Tequila’s summer tour will journey across Ireland, popping up at various bars and venues, giving cocktail lovers the chance to experience the magic of Tierra de Don Julio first-hand. From Dublin to Galway, Cork to Belfast, each stop promises to deliver an immersive and authentic taste of Mexico, with expertly crafted Don Julio Palomas and unforgettable experiences.
