SUMMER ROLLER DISCO (29-30 July)
Back by hugely popular demand, this MAC special event is one of the hippest, rip-roaring flings of the summer! Not to be missed, the retro roller disco returns for a nostalgic night out with DJ Carolyn Stewart on the decks.
Tickets include a 45-minute skating session, gear hire and late night disco (until 1am).
SCHOOL’S OUT – FAMILY ROLLER DISCO (30-31 July)
Just like the hugely popular MAC retro roller disco, this family roller disco is one of the most feel-good family events of the summer! See the theatre transformed into a roller disco for mums, dads and little ones. Get your skates on!
Tickets include 45-minute skating session and hire of skates and protective gear.

STORYTIME SUNDAY (7 August)
This free MAC event is the perfect choice for a relaxing Sunday afternoon out with the kids. Taking place in the MAC’s Family Room on the first Sunday of every month, Storytime Sunday affords you the chance to sit back with the little ones to hear marvellous tales of old and new by a professional storyteller.

MAC BOOK CLUB (11 August)
The MAC Book Club is your opportunity to share your love of books with like-minded people. Explore the club’s latest read with discussion, debate and exchange ideas in a relaxed environment. Oh, and did we mention, your ticket includes a complimentary glass of wine? The book of choice this month is Time Present and Time Past by Deirdre Madden.

GALVANISED STEEL, THE VOID & THE LAST THING ON EARTH (12 August – 16 October)
This trio of newly commissioned exhibitions at the MAC by artists Keith Wilson, Liam Crichton, and Barbara Knezevic explores the possibilities in sculpture, installation and object making in 2016.

DAVID HOCKNEY: I DRAW, I DO (19 August – 16 October)
To mark his 80th year, this exhibition, the first major show of Hockney’s work in Ireland to date, will focus on the artist’s early work including the famous Paper Pool series, alongside work from the current decade.
A painter, printmaker, photographer and designer, Hockney is often celebrated for his contribution to his practice; continually pushing boundaries throughout his career.
