Rascals M.D. Roger D’Arcy is intending to leave Belfast this weekend to head towards Budapest where we believe the crisis will be reignited as the Austrians have threatened to close their Hungarian border again. The situation is very fluid, but we are committed to delivering aid to children and young families on the route to a safe haven.
We urgently need to borrow for 10-14days: Reliable and roadworthy Large Vans (Luton style) and/or Small lorry up to 7.5 tons 6 Berth plus Motorhome (Sorry for insurance purposes, we can only accept from wholly owned vehicles, not financed/ leased)
Baby & Children’s… Clothing, Including socks, hats, gloves, underwear. Coats, Sensible walking shoes Backpacks Nappies & Toddler Pull-Ups
Miscellaneous Blankets & Sleeping Bags, Tents, and camping equipment Small & Large backpacks. Sudocrem, nappy rash cream. Plasters, Milton tabs, Sterile wipes. Thermometers

We are not permitted to bring pain relief products through borders, so are intending to purchase pharmaceutical products, Calpol, Neurofen, etc when we arrive in Hungary. A cash donation will help us in delivering pain/fever relief to these children. (May pass this on to a charity on the ground for dispensing)
Contact us for BACS donations which will help us cover the cost of the pain relief products, Ferry Crossings, Diesel, Tolls, insurances. Our Day Nursery on Circular Road will be the main drop off point & co-ordinating the collections, however any Belfast branch of Rascals will accept any of the above items and will forward them on.
See our website at www.rascalsdaynurseries.com for details of your nearest drop off point.
