St. Agnes’ and Grand Opera House celebrate 50 years of Hello, Dolly!
The award-winning St. Agnes’ Choral Society returns to the Grand Opera House with a highly anticipated new production of Hello, Dolly! from 26 February to 1 March.
Fifty years after the popular musical first appeared on Broadway, a spectacular 50th Anniversary tour is currently underway across the United States. St. Agnes’ will be bringing the celebrations to Belfast with their own version of Hello, Dolly!
It’s the turn of the 20th century and all of New York City is excited as the recently widowed but brassy Dolly Levi is in town. The show follows Dolly’s own efforts to marry Horace Vandergelder, but with a few comedy match-making moments added in along the way.
Featuring well-known musical numbers such as Put on your Sunday Clothes, Ribbons Down My Back, Before the Parade Passes By, Elegance and So Long, Dearie; Hello, Dolly! will have audiences singing along throughout.
Nominated for Best Overall Show in the Association of Irish Musical Societies Awards for their production of The Sound of Music last year, St. Agnes’ Choral Society have an award-winning cast and creative team and once again guarantee to provide top-class entertainment.
