According to reports, the hunky Irish actor and model has landed the lead role of Christian Grey in the film adaptation of E L James’ best-seller after Charlie Hunnam dropped out.
It was announced last weekend that Hunnam was leaving the project due to his “immersive TV schedule, which is not allowing him time to adequately prepare for the role of Christian Grey.”
Though other reports claim The Sons of Anarchy star was worried about the amount of attention he would have got by taking the role.
Jamie, 31, will be starring alongside Dakota Johnson, who’s been signed up to play Anastasia Steele.
As a former Calvin Klein model used to posing in his boxers and little else, we reckon Jamie’s the perfect choice for the raunchy role.
Other favourites tipped to play the lead role included Matt Bomer, Alexander Skarsgard, and Brit actor Christian Cooke.
Fifty Shades of Grey will be directed by Sam Taylor-Johnson and is set for release in 2014.
