If you’re looking for a night of pure Northern Irish banter, razor-sharp satire, and belly laughs, Give My Head Peace Live at the Grand Opera House delivers in spades. This latest tour is packed with close-to-the-bone comedy that brilliantly pokes fun at our beautiful, dysfunctional wee country—exactly what fans have come to love from this legendary show.
Tim McGarry’s stand-up was the standout highlight of the night, proving once again why he’s one of Northern Ireland’s best comedic voices. The whole cast brought their A-game, but for me, Pastor Begbie, the loyalist gangster, absolutely stole the show with his over-the-top antics and perfectly timed punchlines.
Visually, the production kept things lively, with clever lighting shifts between the Irish tricolour and red, white, and blue, adding an extra layer of tongue-in-cheek humour to the night. The audience was fully engaged from start to finish, with plenty of roaring laughter filling the GOH.
This show is a must-see for anyone who loves a good laugh at the quirks, politics, and everyday madness of Northern Ireland. First-rate entertainment—book your tickets early, or risk missing out!
