Easter is on its way, the evenings are getting brighter and we all seem to have more of a ‘spring’ in our step, therefore when the motivation levels are high now is the perfect time to sign-up and take part in this year’s Belfast City Marathon and run for a great cause. Get out in Belfast, get fit and raise money for Action Cancer.

Runners and walkers are both welcome – you don’t need to be super fit athletes to enter; all you need is the determination and desire to make a difference. As any one of the participants who have taken part and raised money for Action Cancer will agree, crossing the finish line in Ormeau Park is a superb feeling.

Sarah-Jayne Cassells Action Cancer PR & Events Officer said: “This is a fabulous opportunity for both individual marathon runners and those who simply wish to take part as a relay team with friends or family to get out in the fresh air and get fit, whilst having fun along the way.”

Help Action Cancer to continue to save lives and support people in your own local communities by making a difference in 2015. All monies raised from the Belfast Marathon will stay in Northern Ireland and go towards the Action Cancer breast screening services, Big Bus mobile unit, complementary, counselling and health promotion services.

To enter this challenge all you need to do is register at belfastcitymarathon.com then once completed email sjcassells@actioncancer.org to get your fundraising pack, which includes a FREE running vest or t-shirt. Then simply get running and raise some funds for your leading local cancer charity, Action Cancer.

Each participant is fully supported by the Action Cancer events team and who will offer advice and help in relation to fundraising.

To register and make a difference to the life saving services Action Cancer provide to the public contact Sarah-Jayne Cassells on 028 9080 3379 or email sjcassells@actioncancer.org
