Tom Cruise stars in Oblivion, an amalgamation of sci-films like WALL-E, Mad Max and I am Legend. Despite sometimes having the feeling of déjà vu, I was blown away by the scenery and the M83’s soundtrack. Tom Cruise is pure class once again, whilst Morgan Freeman’s role is more of a cameo, which I would have seen more involved.
From the director of TRON: Legacy and producers of Rise of the Planet of the Apes, Oblivion is the story of an evacuated Earth in 2077. Jack Harper (Cruise) serves as a repairman who’s reality is shattered after he rescued a beautiful stranger from a downed spacecraft.
Typical Tom Cruise film. If you’re a fan you won’t be disappointed.
