Lough Erne Resort has been named best parkland course in Ulster at the 2019 Golfers Guide to Ireland Awards.

The winners of a series of award categories were announced at a function held in Druids Glen and Golf Resort, Co.Wicklow. The event was attended by over 100 golf club and PGA interests nationwide.

The long established Golfers Guide awards – now in their 28th year – recognise leadership roles played by leading Irish golf clubs and hotels specialising in golf holiday breaks.

The Sir Nick Faldo designed Championship course at Lough Erne Resort, which is complemented by the luxurious surroundings of the five-star luxury hotel, has established itself as one of the leading golfing venues not just in Ulster but across Ireland.

Opened in 2009 it has become a fixture in the UK & Ireland Top 100 rankings and offers stunning views of Castle Hume Lough and Lough Erne. The Faldo Course was constructed to the highest possible standards with sand-based fairways and USGA spec greens ensuring that the course is playable all year round.
