Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike’s path from celebrated DJs to dominating the electronic music scene has been a constant, upward trajectory. From becoming the first ever duo to win the World #1 DJ’s crown at the prestigious DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll in 2015, the twosome continued to stand strong and remain relevant amongst the ever-changing landscape of modern dance music. Never ones to slow down, their consistently excellent placing within the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs Poll has only seen the duo propelled to even greater heights. Picking up heavy support from top industry figures like Apple’s Beats 1’s host Zane Lowe, BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong and Danny Howard, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike have fast become one of the go-to acts for major recording artists from remixing Lady Gaga, over to scoring edits for everyone from Jennifer Lopez, Pitbull, Snoop Dogg, Sean Paul, Ne-Yo and plenty more.

However, it’s perhaps their position as the ‘Kings of Tomorrowland’ which has seen them grow to an unprecedented level of stature with regards festival headliners. Their curation of the soundtrack of the festival’s mainstage has led to them becoming an inherent component of Tomorrowland’s phenomenal appeal and in turn helped foster an army of passionate fans from nations throughout the world.
The launch of their ‘Bringing the Madness’ arena show was another demonstration of their tremendous pulling power. From the very first show, which to-date has received over 32 million YouTube views and counting, to the current 4th edition fans eagerness to attend each and every one of these events has led to the brothers having to add an extra date year-on-year. For the 2016 annual homecoming show, fans snapped up a phenomenal 60,000 tickets in a mind-boggling 60 minutes – a feat previously only managed by legendary names such as U2, Madonna, Coldplay, Beyoncé,and Michael Jackson. Spread across 4 dates and once again housed at the Sportpaleis Antwerp, the end of year spectacle will see an incredible 84,000 fans join the brothers for arguably the biggest and most insane party of the year.
Their ‘Bringing The Madness’ arena concept has also seen sold-out shows in Mexico and Germany. The latter being the most recent with the Belgian duo breaking the record for the most attendees at a solo DJ show in Germany, with a staggering 45,000 fans joining them at the at the Veltins Arena (home to FC Schalke 04 Football club). In conjunction with Tomorrowland and World Club Dome winter edition, the show sold an impressive 30,000 tickets in under 24 hours signifying once more their popularity amongst their European fan base.
The pick-up from the overwhelming fan support generated is as impressive as both their touring and release schedules, with the duo amassing 8.3 million Facebook likes, over 2.4 million Twitter followers collectively, 2.8 million Instagram fans and more than 548 million YouTube views across their videos, the global phenomenon of the brothers is undeniable. Their smash hit ‘The Hum’ netted them the #1 single spot in their native Belgium going platinum, a feat that was repeated just a few months later with their ‘Higher Place’ collaboration penned with R&B superstar Ne-Yo, which spent an astonishing 10 weeks atop the singles chart in their home country. The track also went on to secure the #1 Billboard Dance Chart spot, furthermore picking up a trend as one of the most Shazamed tracks at festivals including Tomorrowland, Ultra Miami and Creamfields. Their next single ‘Melody’ was a record with previous collaborators Steve Aoki and Ummet Ozcan and was chosen as the official football anthem for the Belgian Red Devils Euro 2016 campaign. Whilst their Tomorrowland-premiered release ‘Hey Baby’, a collaboration with heavyweight Diplo, amassed an impressive 5 million Spotify streams in under 2 weeks and had tongues wagging across the global blogsphere, confirming another stellar hit for the guys. ‘Hey Baby’ also climbed its way to the summit of the #1 Billboard Dance Chart, giving the brothers their 2nd Billboard #1,and to date has garnered over 42 million Spotify streams and 16 million YouTube views.
