Kingfishr will return to Belfast next summer for a major outdoor headline show at Belsonic, taking over Ormeau Park on Friday 11 June 2027.
The announcement first landed on social media earlier this summer, but with Belfast already looking ahead to another packed season of live music, this is one date that deserves a firm place in the calendar.
The Limerick trio will begin a run of three enormous Irish outdoor concerts in Belfast before heading to Marlay Park in Dublin and Thomond Park in Limerick. Together, the shows are expected to welcome more than 90,000 fans.
Kingfishr’s remarkable rise continues
The scale of the 2027 dates reflects just how quickly Kingfishr have grown from an emerging Irish act into one of the country’s biggest live music success stories.
Their breakthrough hit “Killeagh” became a genuine cultural phenomenon, spending 17 weeks at number one in Ireland. The band’s debut album, Halcyon, also topped the Irish chart and reached number seven in the UK, while “The Sun Will Never Settle” delivered another Irish number-one single.
That success has carried into their live shows. Kingfishr sold around 60,000 tickets for their recent headline tour, which included two sold-out nights at London’s O2 Academy Brixton, and their emotionally charged performances have become known for huge singalongs and a powerful sense of community.
Following their latest stadium and arena appearances across Ireland, frontman Eddie Keogh said the band had once attended many of those venues as fans, watching artists including Mumford & Sons, Paolo Nutini and The Killers.
Playing those stages themselves was, he said, an unforgettable experience. Their next ambition was simple: do it again, but bigger.
Belsonic will give them exactly that opportunity.
A major summer night for Belfast
Kingfishr’s music — combining soaring indie-folk, traditional Irish influences and emotionally direct songwriting — feels made for a large outdoor crowd.
Their Belfast show should bring the communal atmosphere that has become central to the band’s reputation to one of Northern Ireland’s biggest festival stages. Expect thousands of voices joining together when favourites such as “Killeagh” ring out across Ormeau Park.
The trio’s Belsonic appearance will be followed by two further Irish outdoor shows:
- Friday 11 June 2027: Belsonic, Ormeau Park, Belfast
- Saturday 19 June 2027: Marlay Park, Dublin
- Saturday 10 July 2027: Thomond Park, Limerick
All three concerts are subject to licence.
Tickets originally went on general sale on 26 June 2026. The show is not currently listed as sold out: at the time of publication, Ticketmaster was offering full-price tickets from £65.50 to £76.65, subject to availability and booking conditions.
Check tickets and current availability through Ticketmaster Ireland. Updates and further tour information are also available through the official Kingfishr website.
