NI’s tech industry turned out in their droves at Life Church Belfast this week for the first ever Digital DNA Awards, powered by BT Business Northern Ireland.

The Digital DNA Awards, presented in association with BT Business Northern Ireland, recognised and rewarded local entrepreneurs and organisations who push the boundaries of technology to achieve greatness.

The awards judging panel included Gareth Tolerton from Totalmobile Ltd., Michael Williams from Deloitte Digital, Ainsley Hirst from Allen & Overy, Ryan Owens from Google, Nuala Murphy from Malone.Marketing and the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

The awards formed part of Digital DNA 2016, a business and technology conference in St George’s Market that brought in excess of 1,000 delegates, keynote speakers and exhibitors to the city from around the world.

Digital DNA CEO Gareth Quinn said: “With over 150 entries, we’ve been absolutely overwhelmed by the volume and quality of entries for the first ever Digital DNA Awards and the judging panel had an incredibly tough job in deciding the winners.

“Throughout the judging process, the one thing that became apparent was the huge scale of world class work being done in Northern Ireland today by local companies and entrepreneurs. It’s a great time to be involved in business in Northern Ireland and the quality of award entries and winners reflects that.”
