All-new Colour Dash 5K run will bring a splash of cash to Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice

Runners are being invited to paint the Eikon Exhibition Centre red – and yellow and blue, and many other colours, in a 5k run that will raise vital funds for Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice, on Sunday 21^st August.

Fun runners, serious runners, pram-pushers, walkers – everyone, in fact – are invited to take part in the spectacular event, which sees runners and spectators showered with coloured powder.

Colour Dash 5k will start at 10.30am with a pre-event party including face painting, live music and dance, before colour dashers set off at 11.30am.

Darren Crozier, Events Fundraiser at Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice said: “We are really excited to be hosting our first ever Colour Dash 5k this summer at the new Eikon Exhibition Centre. It will be a great benefit to Northern Ireland’s only children’s hospice, which provides the highest quality of care for life-limited children and their families.

“The venue is perfect for an exciting new traffic-free 5K route, with colour stations, entertainment and refreshment points throughout – and ample parking space too. There will also be free shuttle buses from Lisburn train station, for anyone using public transport.”

Colm Graham, Sales and Events Manager, Eikon Exhibition Centre, added: “The Colour Dash is a first for our new venue – which will provide particpants with wide-open spaces and surrounds to enjoy themselves while raising funds for a great charity.”

Registration is now open for the Colour Dash 5K in aid of Northern Ireland Children’s Hospice at www.colourdash.org.

Participants will receive a registration pack which includes an official race t-shirt, powder paint, Colour Dash goodies. All particpants will also receive a finisher’s medal after the Color Dash 5k.
