Stephanie McKittrick is fundraising in memory of her daughter Layla, who passed away due to CDH (Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia). This condition is a birth defect meaning the whole diaphragm does not form, allowing the organs in the abdomen to migrate into the chest cavity and compress the heart and lungs.
50% OF BABIES BORN WITH THIS CONDITION WILL NOT SURVIVE! THIS CONDITION IS AS COMMON AS SPINA BIFIDA AND CYSTIC FIBROSIS.
