Blunt Fringe presents a live music spectacular dedicated to the music of Kate Bush in a new show, ‘Cloudbusting’, at Cabaret Supperclub next month.
‘Cloudbusting’ will be performed by Nan Fee, a music teacher and singer from Dungannon and sister of local musical theatre actor Fra Fee. She will perform with a live band in this one-woman tribute show that takes the audience on a journey through more than three decades of imaginative brilliance.
Kate Bush is revered for her eclectic and experimental music and is well known for her idiosyncratic performances. ‘Cloudbusting’ is a powerful homage to this outstanding female artist and will include some of her best-known songs including “The Man with the Child in His Eyes”, “Babooshka”, “Running Up That Hill” and “Wuthering Heights”, her debut single and UK number-one written in 1978 at the age of 19.
This is the latest show from Blunt Fringe since their critically acclaimed production of Stephen Sondheim’s ‘Putting It Together’ at the Lyric Theatre in December. Musical Theatre Review called Blunt Fringe “one of the most innovative, intelligent and intriguing companies to emerge in Northern Ireland in recent years”.
