Belfast Restaurant Week kicks off this Saturday on the 5th October the team from Posh Nosh and Belfast Restaurant Week were on hand at Translink’s Great Victoria Street bus and rail station this week to give commuters a taste of what’s to come during the city-wide food-focused event.
More than 80 restaurants, cafés and gastro-pubs have put their names to this year’s Belfast Restaurant Week from Saturday 5th October until 12th October. – a major city-wide initiative which promises an action-packed itinerary of special menus, events and offers to promote and champion Belfast’s vibrant, diverse and award-winning restaurant scene.
As well as a special outdoor ‘Taste and Dine at City Hall’ extravaganza on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th October, Belfast Restaurant Week will include a wide range of specially-arranged events taking place in participating restaurants, including food and wine tastings, tasty treat giveaways, cookery demonstrations and celebrity chef cook-offs.
To help foodie fans get in and around the city Translink has re-introduced its £2 Metro Saturday day ticket which allows unlimited Saturday travel across all Metro services from 9.30am – 7.00pm until 16th November 2013 inclusive.
As part of the week long food celebration Posh Nosh will host two special events on board the SS Nomadic – a Jazz Brunch on Sunday 6th October and an Edwardian Pop Up restaurant on the 10th and 12th October, inspired by the Titanic era.
Belfast Restaurant Week is also supported by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development and the Northern Ireland Tourist Board.
