Calling all wrestling fans past and present! Ever wanted to see your favourite classic matches on a giant cinema screen? Well now is your chance!
On Tuesday, October 29 at the Strand Cinema on the Holywood Road in East Belfast wrestling returns to the big screen!
After the success of our July event we are back for another chance to see your favourite wrestling stars in some of their most famous matches and moments on the big screen!
Our July event saw the legendary tag team of the Legion of Doom win their first WWF Tag Team Championship at SummerSlam 1991. The Strand audience witnessed Ric Flair triumph in the 1992 Royal Rumble to win his first WWF Championship. A packed cinema observed wrestlings most chaotic 10 Man Tag Team Match. You relived the infamous Hell in a Cell between the Undertaker and Mankind. Our Belfast Wrestling fans saw Tables broken, Ladders climbed and Chairs smashed. Finally, the night was taken to Iconic heights when Hulk Hogan and The Rock clashed on the big screen!
What moments and matches will you see larger than life on the Silver Screen at our October show?
Professional wrestling attracts all sorts of fans, never more evident than if you have been lucky enough to attend one of the extravaganza’s in our very own Odyssey Arena. From families with kids, to groups of mates enjoying a beer, to girls who want to get a glimpse of the muscle-bound topless men and even as far as the old lady who sits front row and gives the bad guy hell.
On 29th October, the Strand Cinema aim to recreate that dynamic blend of chaos and fun. Everyone is welcome to this family friendly event which will see classic matches, outside the ring scenarios and some of the most memorable promos, shown on the BIG CINEMA SCREEN! (We would rate the event as PG).
We are the first to do this in Belfast and this is a unique opportunity to relive some of the fun of these larger than life spectacles on the biggest screen you have ever watched wrestling on.
The show kicks off at 7:30pm.
Ticket price is £8 for adults and £5 concession (under 14). Tickets can be purchased in person at the Strand Cinema Box Office or via card over the telephone on 02890 655830 or by visiting the website at http://www.strandartscentre.com/wrestlefest-ii.
