Charity calls for Belfast Volunteers to support hearing aid users

Action on Hearing Loss is encouraging people to make their New Year’s resolutions count in 2019 by volunteering at a Hearing Aid User Support Session in their local area.

The charity’s Hearing Aid User Support Service, funded by the Health & Social Care Board, runs six free monthly drop in sessions across Belfast. Trained volunteers provide NHS hearing aid users with new batteries, earmould retubing and information to help people get the most out of their hearing aids.

The charity urgently needs meet and greet volunteers to welcome hearing aid users when they arrive, provide batteries and information. Volunteers are asked to give a minimum of two hours per month, with training and expenses provided.

The deadline for applications is Friday 8 February. Visit www.actiononhearingloss.org.uk/new-year-volunteer to apply, or contact volunteeringni@hearingloss.org.uk, 028 9023 9619
