Snakebite – A Tribute to Whitesnake have announced their first Belfast show in ten years at Voodoo, Belfast on Sat 5th September to coincide with the 25th Anniversary of ‘Slip Of The Tongue’ album.
Featuring Stormzone lead singer John ‘Harv’ Harbinson in the David Coverdale role, Snakebite also features Stormzone guitarist David Shields as well as David McVeigh on bass, Glenn Gray on drums, Kevin Brennan on keyboards and Shaun Nelson on guitar.
Snakebite have the honour of being endorsed by David Coverdale himself with lead singer Harv Harbinson having discussed the tribute band with the Whitesnake frontman at the Classic Rock awards in London, and Snakebite getting an amazing ‘best of luck’ tweet from Mr Coverdale himself just prior to May’s Diamond Rock Club show!
Formed in 2004, Snakebite was created to pay tribute to Whitesnake, concentrating on all periods of David Coverdale’s career from the bluesy origins of the original line-up to the latter Whitesnake era, which saw them gain worldwide commercial success. The remit for all those interested in being part of Snakebite, the imperative to love Whitesnake music.
Snakebite have played many great venues over the years, frequently performing in the famous Empire Music Hall in Belfast, most recently performing a two and a half hour comeback set at the Diamond Rock Club in Northern Ireland.
Performing a set that’s just over two hours with no fillers Snakebite along with their special guests, glam rock influenced, Maverick guarantee a night like none other in the heart of Northern Ireland. Too round out the night fellow rocks at Rock Radio Northern Ireland will be spinning tunes throughout the night.
