All these modern smartphones have an insidious aspect to them, one that diverts attention from the most crucial aspects of life. Infinix Hot 20 Play was my first smartphone. Every time I would receive a bundle of messages on my phone which includes, emails, texts, notifications, weather alerts, hot spots, and much more. In addition, I developed the habit of checking my phone every minute for updates as a result of this.

Becoming tenser all the time, I would frequently glance at my phone after receiving every single notification. But after these side effects, I decided to regain my attention and focused on my work.

Here is how you can fight your smartphone addiction

There are various smartphone applications that a person uses instantly. These applications are specifically made to keep you using them all the time. Whether it’s Instagram, Snapchat, WhatsApp, YouTube, or Spotify, all these applications continue to develop new strategies to entice you to return.

Many individuals may be struggling with this problem, therefore we considered compiling a list of five strategies to help you to fight your smartphone addiction.

  1. Analyze all installed programs in a moment

A phone has many installed applications, like various games, social networking apps, and much more. To fight your smartphone addiction, do a quick audit of all installed applications and delete those apps that are not useful. Keep questioning yourself whether this app is improving your life or not. If not, then instantly delete those apps.

  • Customize your notifications settings

One of the most irritating diversions that might lead to addiction is notifications. When your work is complete, you want to put your phone aside, but notifications begin to ping. As a result, there is continual scrolling, tweeting, and other things. Smartphone addiction can be reduced if you try to manage your notifications.

The simplest method is to turn off or mute notifications for all the apps which are causing a disturbance, including social networking apps like YouTube, Facebook, etc. So that you don’t miss anything crucial, limit your notification settings to only the most important apps.

  • Remove unnecessary social media apps

Your addiction to your smartphone is primarily due to these types of applications. These apps allow you to keep browsing with ease every time. When a new smartphone is set up, the user downloads their favorite apps. One occasionally downloads independent apps while doing this, some of which are addictive. Try to uninstall these social media apps, this will substantially assist in reducing screen time and free up storage space on your device.

  • Observe screen time limits

Keep in mind that addiction always occurs when there are issues in your life. To fight against addiction, limit your screen timing. It will be supported by downloading a parental control app on your device.
