Here we will go over 7 things to do while in New Hampshire.

New Hampshire is a small state that can be driven across horizontally in about an hour. Since the state is so small, it is often looked over as a vacation destination. What many people fail to realize is that New Hampshire is one of the most scenic, entertaining, feel-good places in the country.

Let’s jump right in.

1) Visit the Ice Castles

One thing that makes New Hampshire is that it is one of five states with Ice Castles: an awe-inspiring attraction that takes place each winter.

At Ice Castles, you can explore the frozen fountains, tunnels, caves, thrones, and slides that fill the icy wonderland. Every wall, path, and seat is made of snow there, and at night, things get more magical with LEDs lighting the way.

2) Spend Some Time Working on Your State Of Mind

New Hampshire has some of the best wineries and medical marijuana dispensaries.

Of course, you will need a medical marijuana card to purchase cannabis legally, but the dispensaries are stocked full of amazing products and a lively atmosphere.

On the other hand, to go wine tasting, all you need is a valid ID stating that you are of drinking age.

The best dispensaries and wineries in the state are Sanctuary ATC and Seven Birches Winery.

Whether visiting NH or a resident, you can never go wrong with simply relaxing in a calming atmosphere.

3) Morningside Flight Park

In the Connecticut River Valley, you find the Morningside Flight Park- a place where all of your aerial dreams come true.

At Morningside, you can go hang gliding, paragliding, or zip lining along the gradually sloping hills. If you are interested in an activity closer to the ground, you are in luck because the park also has entertainment options such as laser tag, kayaking, swimming, fishing, and camping.

Morningside Flight Park is a beautiful area, and attracts hundreds of thousands of visitors each year.

4) Stay at the Lakes Region Tourism Associations

LRTA in Tilton represents 100 communities, 237 lakes and ponds, and over 430 businesses.

This phenomenal area offers tourists and residents a joyful, serene experience through various activities, sceneries, and shops.

At Lakes Region Tourism Associations, the list of activities goes on and on; however, the most popular are hiking, sailing, snowmobiling, golfing, tennis, and biking. There are also many restaurants, educational classes, and art and antique shops in the area.

5) Visit the Mysterious America’s Stonehenge

America’s Stonehenge In Salem, New Hampshire, is a mysterious sight not too much different from the real Stonehenge in England.

Nobody knows how this 4,000-year-old sculpture came about, but one thing is certain; it is magnificent to see. According to America’s Stonehenge website, These man-made maze chambers were “built by ancient people well versed in astronomy and stone construction.”

The website also states that the site is an accurate astronomical calendar that was and can still be used to determine solar and lunar events.

6) Take a Ride on the Mount Washington Cog Railway

A ride on the Mount Washington Cog Railway is one you won’t soon forget. All ages can enjoy a trip in one of the colorful biodiesel or steam locomotives.

Passengers travel five miles per hour past forests, ravines, wildlife, and three climate zones until they reach the summit. Once at the top, you can explore an interactive and educational weather exhibit or view the mountains from the observation deck.

Passengers also get the pleasure of hearing informational pieces from train engineers, brakemen, and brakewomen. You may hear stories about how the railway originated, how the trains work, or the weather conditions.

7) Check Out Chucksters

Chucksters Family Fun Park has two New Hampshire locations, both of which feature many family-friendly activities.

The Chichester location offers guests a day of mini golf, go-karts, zip lining, wall climbing, batting cages, bumper boats, and more.

The Hooksett location offers a larger mini golf course and an ice cream shop with over fifty unique flavors and tons of fun toppings.

Chucksters Family Fun Park is a local favorite because no mini golf course can compete with what they have up and running all summer. You can put from inside of a fire tower onto the world’s longest mini-golf hole or have fun on the world’s shortest, easiest, or most difficult mini-golf holes.
