Jack McGarry & Sean Muldoon returning home after winning ‘World’s Best Bar’
The Dead Rabbit adds unique hospitality experience at ICONS Festival
The Dead Rabbit – recently named the ‘world’s best bar’ – is coming home to Belfast and its organisers are planning to give the attendees of ICONS Festival an unforgettable experience.
Belfast-natives Jack McGarry and Sean Muldoon worked together at The Merchant Hotel Belfast, before relocating to New York to establish the award-winning and critically acclaimed Dead Rabbit Grocery and Grog.
The establishment boasts an impressive list of accolades, winning World’s Best Bar 2015, World’s Best Cocktail Menu 2013/15 and World’s Best Drink Selection 2013 to name but a few of their 16 industry awards.
Dedicated to advancing the art and practice of hospitality, The Dead Rabbit crew will be recreating their unique experience for attendees at the ICONS Festival VIP party at Cafe Vaudeville on Thursday September 24. Jack McGarry – the man behind the world’s best cocktail menu – will be unveiling the ICONS Cocktail, which has been specially crafted for the event.
Dead Rabbit co-founder Sean Muldoon said: “We’re excited to be coming home to Belfast. We can’t wait to bring The Dead Rabbit experience to ICONS Festival and share our story with the audience.”
Partner Jack McGarry said: “It’s been an incredible few years for us, and to win the World’s Best Bar at the Tales of the Cocktail Spirit awards just tops the whole story off. There’s never been a better time to bring The Dead Rabbit experience home to Belfast.”
As part of the ICONS Festival, Jack and Sean will be featured on the Startup stage on Friday September 25 to give a keynote speech on ‘The Magic of Dreaming Big’, sharing their story and expertise.

ICONS CEO Aaron Taylor said: “Jack and Sean are the perfect example of how entrepreneurs with talent, ambition and drive can succeed and become major players on the world stage. ICONS Festival is all about enlightenment, inspiration and encouragement, with the icons of today inspiring the icons of tomorrow. Having Jack and Sean at the event is a dream come true, and we’re excited to witness The Dead Rabbit experience coming home to Belfast.”
With new product launches, live music performances, film screenings, interactive technology and a range of global leaders slated to speak, the event is designed to raise ambitions and inspire the next generation of creative innovators.

The VIP launch party is open to premier ticketholders for the ICONS Festival. The four-day ICONS programme runs from September 24-27 in Titanic Quarter, Belfast. For more information log on to www.festivaloficons.com and follow @iconsfestival
