Sunday night Van Morrison took to the stage of a very busy Cabaret Supperclub Belfast. It is a perfect venue for an intimate evening with a genius. Just over 150 guests. Everyone out to enjoy a lovely evening in fine surroundings.
It was an outstanding performance again from Van and the band. Great to hear tracks like days like this and in the afternoon, Magic time and the sublime in the garden.
90 mins of non stop music from Van and his superb 6 piece band including the talented jazz vocalist- Dana Masters.
Van Morrison is simply the most compelling live performer in the business. I was hugely impressed with power which remains in his voice & delivery. If anything he just gets better & better. A true professional who surrounds himself with musicians & singers who compliment everything he does.
No encore but the final number was ‘Gloria’ after which he left the stage and the band jammed on for another 10 mins or so. Good to see that the band appeared to be enjoying the experience as much as we were. VAN IS STILL THE MAN.
