Over the past two weeks, we have asked you — to vote for BELFAST for a place on the new Global Monopoly board.
It has not been confirmed yet, but we think we finished in the top 5 cities in the World beating major cities like London, New York, Sydney and Dublin. We will find out on Monopoly’s 80 birthday on 19th March!
But it’s not over and Monopoly have saved two spots for any two cities or towns in the ENTIRE WORLD to inhabit on the final version of MONOPOLY Here & Now, with a vote powered by BuzzFeed.
So we have decided we are going to now campaign for CARRYDUFF for the wildcard spot.
It’s just a bit of fun and we hope you help us get another position on the board.
We could have went for Bangor, Lisburn, Derry/Londonderry but as Carryduff is the “centre of the world” ( in case you didn’t know) we thought we’d support the “Up the Duff” campaign to get a wildcard spot on the board.
There is more to Carryduff than just a roundabout! – Famous people like Rory McIlroy, Eamon Holmes, Dr Electric , Ivanhoe, Alan Manus and Johnny Hero all lived in the Carryduff area.
