Love him or hate him the guy is pure entertainment!

Tyson Fury celebrated winning his American debut with a seventh round stoppage of Steve Cunningham by serenading the Madison Square Garden crowd with a song.

The unbeaten Mancunian heavyweight recovered from a stunning second round knockdown to floor the plucky Cunnigham with a brutal right hook to move a step closer to a world title shot against one of the Klitschko brothers.

It was far from a vintage performance against an opponent who he enjoyed a three stone advantage over, but it was certainly entertaining.

And to round off the evening, a clearly excited Fury grabbed the microphone off his American interviewer at the end of the contest before breaking into song.

Fury is now potentially just one fight away from a shot at WBA, IBF, WBO and IBO champion Wladamir Klitschko, with a final eliminator against Kubrat Pulev likely to take place later in the year.

The 24-year-old was full of praise for Cunningham, who had never been stopped before in his career, afterwards and was philosophical about getting put on the canvas.

‘It’s one of those things, you can’t go swimming and not get wet he put on a good fight,’ Fury said.

‘I got caught with a big swinging right. You have to get up, this is a learning experience.

‘That was a good hook to the side of the jaw, it was a matter of time until I got hold of him and when I caught him it was curtains.’
