Red Cells Ball raises £100k for local blood cancer research

Local people have stepped out in support of The Red Cells Ball, held at the Tullyglass House Hotel, raising a whopping £100,452 for local cancer charities, Leukaemia and Lymphoma NI and Friends of the Cancer Centre.

Funds raised for both charities stay in Northern Ireland to support local research and to benefit local patients.

Leukaemia & Lymphoma NI is the only charity solely dedicated to blood cancer research that aims to improve outcomes and quality of life for patients here and all over the world. With three people in Northern Ireland diagnosed with blood cancer every day, this disease is affecting families all over the country.

Friends of the Cancer Centre has been helping local cancer patients across Northern Ireland for over 30 years.  Based at the heart of the Regional Cancer Centre at Belfast City Hospital, it funds projects that make a real and lasting difference to the lives of thousands of local people affected by cancer.
