Public Encouraged to Get Down On It As Part At Of This Year’s Q Radiothon

Q RADIO presenters Ibe Sesay and Gareth Stewart (pictured) are getting ready to Step Back in Time when they host the radio station’s upcoming 80s & 90s disco and quiz.

Taking place in The Doyen, Belfast on June 14 as part of this year’s Q Radiothon, the event promises songs from the best of the two decades and optional 80s fancy dress with spot prizes for the best dressed on the night – all for a very good cause.

The second annual Radiothon is a series of events and fundraising initiatives to help raise money for the station’s four chosen charities; Action Cancer, Cancer Fund for Children, Friends of The Cancer Centre and Marie Curie.

Encouraging people to attend the event and dance All Night Long Ibe said: “Who doesn’t love the music of the 80s and 90s? I’d encourage everyone to get dressed up and get down to The Doyen for what’s guaranteed to be a brilliant night’s craic. The fact that we’ll be raising money for four very worthy charities just makes it all the better.”

Gareth Stewart added: “The prizes on the night are amazing. You could win EasyJet flights and You’ll be Dancing in the Moonlight if you win tickets to see 90s chart-toppers Toploader and the one and only Chesney Hawkes at Dergfest in Castle Derg and there are loads more concert tickets up for grabs too. There’s loads of pampering prizes as well, to include an overnight stay at Galgorm Resort and Spa, to include a three course meal and use of their multi award winning Thermal Village and Victoria Square is giving a shopping voucher, complete with a personalised three hour styling session.”
