The upcoming Dubai Duty Free Irish Open hosted by The Rory Foundation will see some of the world’s best golfers compete at Portstewart Golf Club from July 6-9, however one of the real stars of the show is sure to be Rory McIlroy’s much-loved St Bernard Driver Headcover.
The much – loved pooch is making his long-awaited return this July, in a bid to help Rory defend his Irish Open title against fellow golfing superstars, including Hideki Matsuyama, Jon Rahm and Justin Rose.
A limited quantity of the special edition head cover, created especially for The Rory Foundation, is available to purchase online via the official European Tour online store or from the official merchandise store at The Dubai Duty Free Irish Open.*
“We are delighted to see the return of the Rory head cover this year at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open,” said Simon Alliss the European Tour’s Championship Director. “The special edition St Bernard head cover is an important addition to Rory’s bag and has been with him during some of his career defining moments – so who knows, maybe it’s his lucky charm!”
“It’s great that golfing fans are now able to purchase the head cover too, which I hope will sit proudly on their own golf bags.
