SNOW PATROL frontman Gary Lightbody took a break from the band last week as he stepped out on tour by himself.
The Bangor star, 39, is currently on a six-date intimate tour across the west coast of America.
On Wednesday and Thursday he played Seattle and Portland to critical acclaim while tonight he will take to the stage in San Francisco at the 300-capacity Swedish American Hall.
Fans described his solo rendition of Set Fire To The Third Bar at the Star Theatre in Portland as “hauntingly brilliant”.
The singer will go on to perform in Santa Cruz and Napa before ending the tour in the 280 seater Largo theatre in Los Angeles on Saturday (Aug 8).
Speaking last week on social media before beginning the tour Gary said: “Off on solo tour today. Up to Seattle tonight for the first show tomorrow. Looking forward to the tour.”
