Glasgow based restaurant brand, Six by Nico, have today announced further expansion with a new Dublin location.
Located at 1 Molesworth Street, Six by Nico Dublin will be the ninth addition to the restaurant brands portfolio, bringing chef Nico Simeone’s creative food and drink concept out of the UK for the first time and placing it in the heart of Dublin city.
The new premises, opening in November 2021, will introduce a pioneering revolving culinary hub, as Nico and his team reinvent the wheel every six weeks, delivering a fresh new six-course tasting menu – each one focused on a different place, memory, or idea.
Drawing inspiration from both at home and abroad, such as the street markets of the Middle East to a journey across Route 66 in America, Nico and his team will combine different ingredients, flavours, and dishes, to bring memories and stories creating a brand-new dining experience every 6 weeks.
Six by Nico is already well embedded in the UK’s restaurant scene, with locations in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester, Liverpool, Belfast, London Fitzrovia and London Canary Wharf. Six by Nico Dublin’s 3,000 square ft. venue at 1 Molesworth Street, formerly Le Pain Quotidien, will house a 56-cover restaurant including a dedicated bar and outdoor dining tables.
Chef Nico Simeone commented:
With the opening, comes exciting new job prospects as the Simeone Group plans to create 50 new jobs in the Dublin area.
Rachael Rafferty, Operations Director for Simeone Group, said:
Rafferty has opened all Six by Nico restaurants for the group, including the new flagship London Canary Wharf location, which handles 500 covers a day. The creative and ever evolving six-course set menu, will be priced at €45 per person to match the brands London counterparts. Wine pairings alongside the tasting menu will be priced at €39 per person.
The Six by Nico concept was born in Glasgow in 2017 from a passion of experimenting with new ingredients and developing and creating unique dishes. Six by Nico Dublin promises to be as eye-catching as it is delicious and will boast a minimal design, starkly contrasted by grand fixtures and fittings with atmospheric mood lighting. The restaurant will feature a modern design open kitchen on view to all.
