The doors opened in 1968 with a screening of Louis Malle’s ‘Viva Maria!’. Since then, the theatre has built a reputation for screening international films and hosting special guests such as film makers and performers.
Screenings span everything from arthouse films to more commercial Hollywood blockbusters, and the venue also champions a variety of foreign language features. A range of training workshops are available, including film talks and discussions, special screenings and short courses for all ages.
