~Iconic Irish whiskey, Powers Gold Label Transformed in Design but Consistent in Taste~

Whiskey lovers across Northern Ireland are in for a treat this winter, as Powers Irish Whiskey reveals its new look Gold Label bottle.

With a 200-year legacy distilled into each bottle, Powers Gold Label whiskey is of superior quality and undisputed heritage. The quintessential Irish whiskey is as definitive now as it has been since 1791 and ever popular in Northern Ireland.

The Powers Gold Label bottle has now been reintroduced in a contemporary design; a crafted glass bottle embellished with a stylish black and metallic gold theme perfectly showcases the pure and rich liquid inside. Special editions of the new bottle are adorned with a branded copper tag, which serves as an ideal memento for any Irish whiskey lover.

Dillon Bass – owners of the Powers brand – are now rolling out the new look special edition bottles, just in time for Christmas.

While the bottle has changed, Powers Gold Label blend has stayed exactly the same – as an original and authentic Pot Still style Irish whiskey. Powers Gold Label continues to be triple distilled and matured in a way that has made it famous throughout the world.Distilled and aged to perfection, its robustly spicy characteristics are complemented by strong woody undertones, creating a finely balanced yet powerful and unique flavour.

Powers Whiskey

Powers’ long-standing reputation for excellence and innovation has placed it at the forefront of Irish whiskey, leading the way for 200 years. In 1866, John Power and Son began bottling their own whiskey, which was unheard of before in Ireland, as it was usually sold by the cask. Historically, a gold label was entrusted on the bottle to signify premium quality and to guarantee it had come directly from the Powers distillery. And so the Gold Label story began and the indubitable name earned to Powers by loyal customers.

Commenting on the introduction of the newly designed Powers Gold Label bottle, Sarah Harvey, Powers Brand Manager at Dillon Bass said; “Powers is regarded as the pinnacle of Irish whiskey and has maintained this reputation for over 200 years. Although the bottle has now changed to an elegant design, the distinctive flavour – adored since 1791 – has stayed the same. We are thrilled to introduce the new design to Northern Ireland as the region has always held a strong appreciation for the finesse of Powers’ unique style.”

In addition to the new look Powers Gold Label bottle, a brand new Single Pot Still, Powers Three Swallow Release, has been launched and will be introduced to Northern Ireland’s stores and bars this month. Powers Three Swallow Release is the 21st century embodiment of the traditional pure Pot Still whiskey style. The bottle is identifiable with a striking deep blue label graced with three swallows. Swallows have long been used on Powers’ bottles to signify age, quality and purity.

With an extensive portfolio of over 20 premium Irish whiskeys, including Powers, Jameson, Midleton and Redbreast, Dillon Bass is the largest supplier and distributor of Irish whiskey in Northern Ireland.
