The Peter Rabbit Adventure has arrived at Hillsborough Castle and Gardens with a hop, skip and a jump for the summer holidays! It’s the first time the royal residence has hosted Peter Rabbit and friends, and the team has created an interactive adventure trail as a fitting tribute to the mischievous stories dreamt up by Beatrix Potter throughout the beloved book series created over 120 years ago.
Scurry through the Walled Garden to find Peter Rabbit hidden under the flowerpots, try your hand at creating a twig boat down at the stream with Squirrel Nutkin, and even help Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle with her washing line.

The trail is packed full of engaging activities to bring children closer to nature and wildlife throughout the gardens. Plus, the Stable Yard Café will be offering Peter Rabbit themed Afternoon Tea with both adult and children’s menus, plus picnic hampers to takeaway and enjoy on the lawn, and Peter Rabbit himself will be making visits each Saturday throughout the summer.
The gardens will also come alive with music throughout summer weekends. What’s more, families can enjoy free entry for children during the summer holidays, excluding 24 – 26 August. For more information, visit hrp.org.uk/Hillsborough-castle.
