Raise a cuppa for Northern Ireland Hospice
Northern Ireland Hospice is encouraging schools, businesses, community organisations and individuals across the province to raise a cuppa and help brew up vital funds to support the Hospice’s annual Big Coffee Break campaign which starts on Friday, 20th September.
The annual campaign, which is now in its 27th year, encourages individuals across the country to sign up for their free bag of Hospice Blend Coffee, get brewing and collect just £2 for each cup of coffee served.
The Northern Ireland Hospice Big Coffee Break starts on Friday, 20th September, but hosts can organize events on whatever date suits best up to 30th November.
With last year’s event raising over £30,000, this year NI Hospice hopes to create an even bigger stir and raise more funds. Funds raised from the campaign will go towards supporting the work of NI Hospice nurses as they care for local people diagnosed with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions in the community. A small donation of £128 will pay for a morning or afternoon of specialist community services.
Sheila Duffy, Head of Fundraising at NI Hospice, said: “As always, the challenge for Northern Ireland Hospice each day is to raise the vital funds needed to continue providing the highest quality palliative care to local people when they need it most and events such as the Big Coffee Break is vital to our organisation.
“The Big Coffee Break is an extremely simple concept that provides a valuable palliative care service in our community and we’re hoping for a great response this year. All you need to do is brew the coffee, invite some friends and collect a donation for every cup poured!”
