Utter the words ‘Larry’s Piano Bar’ in Belfast and someone within earshot will have a good story to tell. But even some legendary lights are destined to fade and after Larry’s was extinguished, it’s four walls became ‘Harlem’. An eclectic interior of mismatched furniture, walls covered with elaborately framed vintage prints and decorative Art Deco windows makes for a mixture of styles which do manage to come together to create a very comfortable atmosphere. I believe you could be the only one in the place and it wouldn’t feel the least bit empty.
Hosting a special evening for Belfast Restaurant Week – ‘Jazz Age at Harlem’ with live music, staff embracing Flapper fashion and with food & cocktails inspired by the era, I was quite excited…..
