In a world dominated by screens, scrolling and digital conversations, a brand-new event in Portrush is encouraging people to step away from their phones and make genuine real-life friendships again.
Taking place on Monday 1st June from 7pm at The Safehouse, the very first “Mingles Night” has been created for adults aged 18+ looking to meet new people, spark meaningful conversations and build authentic intergenerational connections in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
Organisers say the event is designed to tackle the growing sense of isolation many people experience in today’s increasingly digital world, while creating a safe and friendly atmosphere where strangers can become genuine friends.
Early feedback from those already signed up has been overwhelmingly positive, with attendees from a wide range of age groups excited by the opportunity to connect with like-minded people face-to-face.
For just £10, guests will receive a welcome drink on arrival and the chance to enjoy an evening focused entirely on conversation, connection and community.
Whether you’re new to the area, looking to expand your social circle, or simply wanting a night away from endless social media feeds, this unique event could be exactly what you need.
With organisers hoping to sell 40 tickets before 1st June, locals are being encouraged to support the initiative and experience something refreshingly different.
