Three-time Paralympic Gold Medal champion, Michael McKillop joined the people of Belfast today (30 July) to pose on a massive 3D pavement artwork outside City Hall to celebrate 20 years of National Lottery funding to sport.
The artwork depicts a gravity-defying diving board perilously high above a stadium of athletic sports which gave The National Lottery funded athlete his first try at the high dive.

Middle distance World Record Holder Michael McKillop said: “With the Glasgow 2014 Games well underway, there’s never been a better time to recognise the immense difference National Lottery funding has made to sport in Northern Ireland by supporting elite athletes and its future talent by funding grassroots projects and investing in sporting facilities such as the Sports Institute Northern Ireland. Best of luck to all of Northern Ireland’s competing athletes during the final days of the Commonwealth Games.” – You can follow them here!
