Magners, famously unhurried in its production, brings 2015 to a sparkling conclusion with a celebration of 80 years of cider production.
The brand owes its origins to the inspired Mr William Magner who, in 1935 having bought an orchard just outside Clonmel in County Tipperary, started to make his own cider. It was an instant success and, eighty years later, Magners Original Cider bas become the iconic cider, known (and loved) right around the world.
The combination of distinctive taste coupled with its game-changing ‘over ice’ serve allowed Magners to re-define the cider category for modern consumers.
The brand has come a long way in eighty years, but its roots and traditions remain unaltered, right down to the 17 varieties of apples used to make Magners.
