Opera and music fans across Belfast are in for a treat next week as Belfast City Council will show a free live screening of Giacomo Puccini’s La Bohème on the ‘Big Screen’, direct from the Royal Opera House in London.
The screening on Tuesday (15 July) of La Bohème is exclusive to Belfast City Hall as part of an outreach screening programme aiming to bring cultural experiences from the Royal Opera House in London to cities across the UK.
The performance is due to start at 730pm, with free entry into the grounds of City Hall on a first-come-first-served basis. Standard Belfast City Council terms and conditions will apply, with the performance due to end at 1030pm.
City Hall’s ‘Big Screen’ will also be showing world class sporting action this week. The FIFA World Cup Finals in Brazil are coming to an end, with the semi-finals being shown at 8pm tomorrow (Tuesday 8 July) and 9pm on Wednesday (9 July). The big final in Rio will be aired live on Sunday (13 July).
