LUSTY Beg Island was rewarded for their 50-year contribution to the local tourism industry at the recent NI Travel and Tourism Awards.
More than 400 guests and VIPs throughout Northern Ireland gathered at the Slieve Donard Resort and Spa in Newcastle, Co Down on Friday October 19 to celebrate the Travel and Tourism Industry and it was Lusty Beg Island that walked away with the prestigious Northern Ireland Tourism Industry Award 2018.

Northern Ireland Travel News has been organising the awards for the past 27 years and this year’s ceremony was hosted by Saoirse Jackson, Louisa Harland and Dylan Llewllyn from the hit TV series The Derry Girls. The awards were given out in 30 categories which cover all sectors of the travel and tourism industry and are voted for by the public, travel trade and judging panels.

Becketts Dining Room located in The Enniskillen Hotel scooped the highly coveted Restaurant of the Year Award in recognition of their fine dining experience that celebrates locally produced food.
