A new addition to this year’s Mela Festival which takes place on 24th August will be the ‘Fantasy Forest’tucked away in the tropical scenery of Belfast’s Botanic Gardens.
Families will be invited to roll up for the most mysterious, magical new arts experience as they travel the globe in search of strange characters!
An enormous exotic caravan including a life size elephant will make its way into the ‘Fantasy Forest’where visitors will be met by strange characters that will entertain amuse and beguile.
From the makers of the Terrible Infants, The Trench and the Vaudevillians comes an outdoor event like no other: packed with Vaudeville acts, live musicians and puppeteers visitors will be able to feast their eyes on a wondrous treat for all the family: an extravaganza fit for a king or a pauper!
As you enter the ‘Fantasy Forest’ visitors will be invited to journey through sizzling safaris and snowy Siberia. Float among the clouds and plunge into the murky depths of the sea as they search for fascinating animals both exotic and rare.
Show times are 1.30pm, 3.00pm and 4.00pm. So don’t disappoint the children roll up; roll up and enter the ‘Fantasy Forest’ and be entertained by the world’s weirdest and fascinating wonder emporium.
