In light of their decision to pull out of the Northern Ireland market, James Hagan, Founder and Chair of Hagan Homes has joined Errol Maxwell, Managing Director of PropertyPal, on the latest episode of The PropertyPal Podcast to discuss the frustrations that have led to the huge decision to pull out of the Northern Ireland housing market.

Mr Hagan cited planning issues as the main influence for the move into new markets in the north of England and the Republic of Ireland in the podcast, he explains: “In England, they’re doing everything they can to help us. The approach here is they stick up more obstacles than enough and they look at ways of stopping us, not helping us”.

It’s clear that the impact of withdrawal from Northern Ireland’s biggest homebuilders has caused concern, as James explains: “We’ve had phone calls within 48 hours of it coming out in the newspaper from five different statutory consultees to try and answer questions that we’ve been trying to get answers to for six months”.

In the full episode, the property duo talk about all things property, planning, business and family. To listen to the full episode of the podcast, click here: https://bit.ly/3irZeeo
