Output Belfast, Ireland’s largest music conference, has unveiled a star-studded finale for its 2025 programme — and it’s one no music or film fan will want to miss.
Closing the conference on Thursday 25th September (4–5pm at The MAC Belfast) will be a special In Conversation event with David Arnold, one of the UK’s most influential and celebrated film composers.
Arnold’s career spans some of the world’s biggest cultural touchstones. From scoring five James Bond films (including Daniel Craig’s unforgettable debut in Casino Royale, featuring the theme “You Know My Name” with Chris Cornell), to composing for the hit BBC series Sherlock (alongside Michael Price), to penning the explosive soundtrack for 2 Fast 2 Furious, and most recently bringing magic and mischief to Amazon’s Good Omens — Arnold’s work has defined generations of film and TV.
Beyond screen soundtracks, Arnold has worked as a producer and songwriter with artists as diverse as Björk, Iggy Pop, Lethal Bizzle, Sophie Ellis-Bextor, Don Black and Pulp. He also served as Musical Director for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, ensuring his music reached a truly global audience.
His accolades include Grammy, Emmy and Ivor Novello Awards, cementing his reputation as one of the most innovative voices in film music. At Output Belfast, he will sit down with fellow Ivor Novello Award-winning composer and musician Hannah Peel for a conversation that promises insight, inspiration, and stories from an extraordinary career.

Opening Night: Logan Sounds Off with Niamh Regan
The excitement begins the night before, with a unique live recording of Ireland’s youngest podcaster Logan (14) as he hosts a special edition of his show Logan Sounds Off.
Having first interviewed a guest at just 8 years old, Logan has since spoken to musical icons including Josh Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), Lankum, Mary Coughlan, Henry Rollins, Don Letts, EELS and more. For Output Belfast, he will welcome acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter Niamh Regan for an intimate, unmissable conversation.
Regan’s acclaimed debut Hemet (2020) launched her onto the international stage, leading to tours across Ireland, the UK, Australia, and beyond. Her 2024 follow-up Come As You Are was shortlisted for the RTÉ Choice Prize for Irish Album of the Year and cemented her as one of Ireland’s most exciting contemporary voices.
